VEGAN BANANA BROWNIES (non low-fat)
9:59 PM
A typical morning of mine, I always smell a lovely aroma from my kitchen, either it comes from coffee, bread or brownies. Almost
every morning my mom makes a brownie for the family, or blondie. Usually she makes it
a non-vegan way but the other day she made it a vegan version, so I could eat it. She isn't vegan so
whenever she makes food for me I always I ask her, what's in it, because vegans always suspicious when it comes to food.
Anyway, this recipe is my mom's. I gotta say it's delicious. If you are craving for any chocolate-brownie, you could try this recipe. For me this brownie is not sweet, so its great for breakfast too. The ingredients are easy to recognize by non-vegan, so you could share this recipe to anyone your heart desire.
Note: For people who are oil-phobic, I'm sorry this recipe isn't for
you.
This recipe makes 16
thick brownie-cubes. This is perfect for accompanying a coffee or tea, I like
it both way.
Ok without further a due, here is the recipe:
Ingredients:
3 Cavendish ugly
riped banana
220 gram all purpose
flour / low protein flour
180 gram sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla
extract
1/2 tsp baking
powder
1 tsp baking soda
2 tbsp Dark Cocoa
Powder
1 tsp salt
185 ml Melted
Coconut Oil / Vegetable Oil
Optional, dark
choco-chips for topping.
Time:
35-minute
Medium heat 160c
Blend the bananas
with fork or food processor. Then combine sugar and salt into
the banana puree that you just make. Transfer it into a bowl, and put the oil and mix it together with
fork or wooden spoon.
In another bowl, mix
all the rest ingredients. Dump everything into the brownie-tin, I use 18x18 cm cake-tin. Make sure you grease the tin first, then you put 1 tbsp chocolate powder to cover the tin, so it won't stick. Don't use white flour, otherwise you will get a white-brownie-butt. Put the brownie mixture into the oven that already pre-heated, wait for 35-minute then use a toothpick-taste to check your brownie is cooked all the way. If it's still gooey on the inside, add 5 more minute for the baking time. Then after all done, let it cool on the cool rack (obviously) then you get yourself awesome brownie.
I hope this recipe is clear enough, if not, let me know in the comment below.
PS. I'm planning to
post a food post every Tuesday (could be a recipe, tips, or any food related),
and on Friday will be focusing on random topic stuff, you know, stuff. So stay
tuned! I'll see you on Friday.
